Skank-ifying a Dress

I got this dress from Urban Outfitters 2 years ago. I loved the back (it’s all cut out and adorable) but it was always a little too long. I thought about taking it to a tailor but I mean I probably paid like $40 for this thing, and that was a few years ago, and I’ve worn it a million times blah blah blah. So finally I just got fed up with the length and took my scissors to it.

I marked how long I wanted it to be, then I measured it and kept marking all along the dress. Then, I cut. Ta-Da.

This dress is officially skankified. Untz.

(Oh, and yeah, those are my Proenza booties. Double untz.)

We went out to dinner for my friend’s engagement. I never get to wear any of my pretty shoes to work so I decided to pull out a pair. I haven’t even worn these wedges since I bought them. And I’m finally tan enough (in my opinion…) to rock the Nars bronzer & orgasm blush.

The strap kind of crushed my toes but there was not much walking involved tonight so I felt ok. They are easy to walk in because of the wedge and all the straps. Good for dinners - probably not the best choice for a night out.

We were supposed to go out last night for a little bit but we never made it out. I hate getting all ready and adorable and then sitting around. Bummer. I am planning on wearing this exact outfit again tonight to my friend’s birthday party. I make lemonade from lemons. It’s what I do.
