PRODUCT REVIEW: TAN TOWELS

My friend Emily picked up these tanning towels and used them before we went out last weekend. She looked so fabulous and bronzed in all the pictures so I decided to try them out myself. I picked up a pack of 5 towels (the fair to medium skin kind) for $21 at Ulta. I also got a new body scrub so I could exfoliate before applying the towel. 

It was very easy to apply, just open the package and rub the towel all over. I had to get my mom to help with my back. It had that typical self tanner smell, but it was mild. Afterwards, I aired out a little bit, put on pajamas, and went to bed (on my white sheets). No color rub off. This morning, I am spotty in some areas (insides of my elbows? weird..), but I think if I would have done a better job exfoliating I could have avoided that. I haven’t noticed any obvious spots or streaks. I definitely smell like self tanner. I don’t notice a huge difference in color because I was already kind of tan, but the color that is there is very natural.

It was a great first time self tanning experience. I will definitely be using the rest of the towels from the package, probably once a week depending on how it looks. Go, buy, be tan.
